Chapter 201 The picture attached showed Zayn leaning against a hospital bed, holding up his arm wrapped in a cast. The timestamp indicated it was taken about an hour ago, yet there wasn't a single comment under the post. This meant that this post was set to be visible only to her. Otherwise, his business partners and the women eager to please him-especially Nadine-would have already flooded the post with likes and comments.
Josephine let out a cold scoff. She considered commenting, "Serves you right," but knowing him, even if she insulted him, he'd take it as an invitation to pester her again. In the end, she decided to just ignore it.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs dinner wound down, Mason and the three assistant directors finally wrapped up their work discussions and shifted to a more relaxed conversation over red wine. Mason sighed in frustration. "My younger brother found out I'm working on a new film project and won't stop pesteringto let him work on set. He's drivingnuts!" Josephine enjoyed listening to him talk about his family, especially the funny and chaotic moments at home. They had a warmth to them that she found both amusing and endearing. Putting her phone down, she chimed in, "Why don't you just let him join us? Aren't there still plenty of open positions on set?" Mason immediately waved his hands. "No way! My brother's been a little troublemaker since childhood. He's got no real skills-just an uncanny talent for stirring up trouble. If he joins, he'll turn the whole set upside down. I really don't want to spend my days cleaning up after his mess." Josephine shrugged, unfazed. "Maybe he just has too much energy. Let him work, tire him out a bit. He might actually settle down." The assistant directors agreed, causing Mason to laugh out loud. "Alright, fine. I'll talk to him and see if he's willing to do sgrunt work. Not like he's capable of handling a real job anyway." Just then, Josephine noticed Ethan coming down the stairs with an elderly man, and she was surprised that they were already done with dinner. She couldn't help but gawk at them, curious about who the old man was and also amazed at how good Ethan looked that day.
Dressed in a perfectly tailored three-piece suit with a matching tie, his sharp-cut silhouette highlighted his broad shoulders and long legs. As he descended the stairs, there was an effortless elegance to him, as if he were glowing under the restaurant's dim lighting, making it impossible to take her eyes off him.
In fact, she wasn't the only one staring. Lots of customers had their gazes locked on him too.
Josephine didn't look away until he left the restaurant. If she wasn't mistaken, this was the first tshe had seen Ethan in a suit. And sure enough, good-looking people could make anything they wore look exceptional. After dinner, Josephine headed to the parking lot, intending to catch a ride hwith Mason. But as soon as they reached his car, she spotted Ethan casually leaning against it.
"Is that you, Ethan?" Mason was visibly surprised. "What are you doing here?" Ethan's gaze, however, was on Josephine, as he responded to Mason, "I'm here to pick Josephine up." vel "You're here to pick Ms. Dunn up? Huh? Oh, uh alright then," Mason muttered, confused. He glanced between Josephine and Ethan,. feeling like there was nothing between them-yet at the stime, maybe there was. After exchanging knowing looks with the three assistant directors, they all agreed to stay out of it. With vague smiles, they bid Josephine goodbye before getting into their cars and driving off.
Josephine wasn't oblivious; she

Once everyone had left, she turned to Ethan and asked, "Why areyou m picking up?"
"I promised to take you out for cake last time, but the shop was closed. Sp, I'm here to make up for it."
