Taking a deep breath, Ariana forced herself not to dwell on the matter and continued to comfort Adele.

Adele was delighted to see it was a gift from her father.
She reached into one of the compartments with her small fingers and pulled out a piece of chocolate shaped like

“Wow!” Adele exclaimed, clearly happy with the gift.

The two of them chatted happily.
Yet, despite this, a feeling of unease crept into Ariana’s heart.

discomfort.
“Mommy, my belly hurts,” she said.
“Do you need to use the restroom?” Ariana asked gently.
Adele nodded, her face reddening.
Without hesitation, Ariana carried her to the restroom.
Ariana stood by the restroom door, intermittently talking to her daughter.
“Adele, are you alright in there?” she called out, concern lacing her voice.
