Chapter 207: Chapter 207 - Two Days
Alexander's POV
| was nervous.
| didn’t want to leave Fia alone, but | had to go to the packhouse.
“Fia?!” | called her again when she didn’t answer me.
“Coming,” she said quietly and | was relieved.
| didn’t like leaving her alone after she had one of her episodes. The darkness could always cback, and |
didn’t know how she would handle it withouthere.
| saw her walking down the stairs and | breathed out in relief.
“Are you okay?” | asked as | pulled her closer so | could see her face better. “Did it happen again?”
I was scared as fuck.
It was never as bad as it was this morning. | always knew that she would be able to push the darkness back. This
morning was the first t| wasn’t sure of it.
| studied her face carefully. | needed to know if she was okay. | needed to know that she was telling the truth.
“It didn’t,” she said, givinga small smile.
“You have to teachhow to help her if it happens again,” | heard Hunter's voice.
I was so focused on Fia that | didn’t even hear him come.
| gulped and glanced down at her. It would definitely happen again and | wondered how bad it would be the next
time.
“I need to know what to do when we go back to our pack,” Hunter said, making my heart stop. “I need to know
how to help her when you aren't around.”
Right.
I wouldn't be around when she left.
Oh, Goddess, | didn’t even think about that.
| gulped and gritted my teeth.
How the fuck would | get used to not seeing her every day? | couldn't remember a day when | didn’t see her. We
were always together. We did everything together.
Fia understood what was going on inside my mind. She wrapped her arms aroundand huggedtightly.
| looked down at my sister and gulped.
“We will see each other all the time,” she said softly. “I promise. It's only a two-hour drive.”

Right.
Only a two-hour drive.
| hugged her back.
“You are always welcat our pack, Alex,” Hunter said, makinglook up at him. “You can cto visit
every day if you want to.”
Of course | wanted to.
But we both knew it would be impossible. | would take over our pack soon. | would have a job to do. She would
beca Luna and she would have a job to do too. We wouldn't be able to see each other every day.
“I will tell you what helps,” | mumbled. “But | will be only a call away if she needs me.”
“Of course,” Hunter said, smiling at me.
| looked back down at my sister.
“Where are mom and dad?” she asked as she let go of me.
“They are still at the packhouse,” | answered. “They are making a contract between our packs.”
My sister looked back at Hunter.
“Shouldn’t you be there?” she asked him. “You are the Alpha.”
Hunter shook his head and smiled. “I trust my dad and we discussed everything before he left. He knows what to
do.”
Fia nodded and looked back at me.
“Coffee?” she asked as she started walking toward the kitchen.
Hunter and | followed her.
“When do you plan to leave?” | asked Hunter.
I wished that the answer would be in a week or two.
“In two days,” Hunter said, making my stomach twist painfully. “I have to go back. | already stayed longer than |
planned.”
“Two days?” Fia asked, surprised.
Hunter looked at her and nodded.
“Yes, Angel,” he said. “We need to go back.”
Fia glanced at me. | smiled, trying not to show her how nervous | was.
We will see each other all the time. She mind-linked me.
| know. | said. | am just worried about the darkness. Would Hunter be able to help you?
She looked at Hunter.
| don’t know. She sighed. | feel better when | am around him. You need to show him how you do it.
Fia started making coffee. Hunter and | sat down at the table.
| am not even sure what to tell him, Fia. | sighed.
You can tell him about the heartbeat thing. She said. That always helps me.
| glanced at Hunter. He was staring at my sister with a small smile on his face.
Do you think that he will be able to remain calm? | asked her.
| hope so. She sighed. You know how important that is at that moment.
| did know that, but it tookyears to learn how to remain calm in that situation. I still felt the need to freak the
fuck out every tit happened, but | learned how to control it. | usually freaked out after.
‘Maybe we should just go with her and be there for a while,” Axel said.
| wanted that too, but | knew that would be impossible.
“You know we can’t do that, Axel,” | sighed.
Alex grunted and retreated. He was scared. | understood him. | was scared too.
“Are you two done talking?” Hunter chuckled, looking from Fia to me.
“I am sorry,” Fia apologized immediately. “We were just talking about...”
“It’s okay, Sophia,” Hunter interrupted her. “I understand. It’s a twin thing, right?”
He looked atand smiled.
“It is,” 1 said as | took the coffee mug out of Fia’s hand.
She handed one to Hunter and sat down opposite us.
“So, what is the most important thing

“The most important thing is to stay calm,” | said. “She needs you to be there for her, not to freak out.”
Hunter nodded and glanced at Fia.

| had a feeling it wouldn't work, but | would never forgive myself if | wasn’t there for her when she needed me.
“Of course,” Hunter nodded.
| took a sip of my coffee and looked at Fia.
| couldn’t believe that | wouldn't get to see her every day.
| would miss her terribly.
I will miss you too. She mind-linked me, makingfurrow my eyebrows.
She chuckled at my confused expression.
How did she know?
You are my twin, Lex. She said. | know you and Stella told me.
| rolled my eyes.
Of course she did. | mumbled through the mind-link.
| took a deep breath and looked down at the mug in my hand.
