Chapter 1387 Sthings just aren't worth fussing over, truly! Years back, Karen might have thrown a fit over such matters, probably would have made a huge scene.
But not anymore.
Jeffrey's heart belongs to her, he loves her, and that's all that really matters. You can't always be splitting hairs over every little thing.
Hearing these words from Karen, well, it sure took Dorothy by surprise.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe chuckled, "Becoming a mom has really changed you, hasn't it? You've grown so much more sensible." "It's not just about being a mom, really. It's understanding that nobody's perfect! When I agreed to be Jeffrey's girlfriend, I didn't for a second believe he'd actually stop hitting the bars every night or flirting around. There's a saying, 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks,' but he provedwrong! So, I guess I owe it to him to be a bit more forgiving." Dorothy was speechless for a few seconds before she could only laugh in resignation.
"After you say something like that, I can't even tell if you're praising him or scolding him." Weird, but in a good way.
Karen just laughed, "Oh, I'm definitely praising him! If I were scolding him, I'd be much more direct. He wouldn't dare backtalk." At this point, Karen pretty much ruled the roost in the Turner household! If Jeffrey ever so much as thought about crossing her, Huxley and Paloma Turner would send their own son packing without a second thought.
While the men chatted outside, the women had their own lively conversation indoors.
By the tJeffrey and Karen left, it was nearly the wee hours of the morning! "Drive safe, and take it slow, no rush!" "Alright, get srest!" Karen waved at Dorothy before getting into the car.
Everett helped her back inside, but the moment they entered the master bedroom, Dorothy felt that all-too-familiar wave of naaster her hit vel.
This tit was much worse than when she was pregnant with Abigail and Langston. Maybe it was Everett's presence that made her a bit more delicate.
"Should I get you sginger ale?" Everett quickly offered, seeing her discomfort.
Dorothy nodded, "Please." She actually wanted to say that ginger ale was just as good out of a can, curious to see if Everett would be honest about it.
Soon, Everett returned with a chilled glass of ginger ale.

He handed her the glass, and Dorothy smiled, "Looks authentic Did Jeffrey teach you how to mix this up? What were you guys up to in the kitchen for so long? Is this the result?" "..." Everett's handsface stiffened for a moment before he shook his head, "No, it's just canned ginger ale." "Huh?"
"But let's not tell Karen about this, Jeffrey was worried she might find out," Everett repeated what Jeffrey had told him earlier.
He wouldn't lie to Dorothy, but he also didn't want to stir up trouble at hbecause of something Jeffrey brought over.
After hearing the explanation, Dorothy patted Everett's arm gently, "Jeffrey doesn't need to be so nervous! Karen already figured it out." That surprised Everett, "And she didn't make a fuss?" Given Karen's temper, that was unexpected.
"If she had, Jeffrey wouldn't have had to rope you into keeping secrets!" "...I didn't lie." He just hadn't gone out of his way to tell Karen.
Dorothy laughed at his expression and couldn't resist pinching Everett's cheek.
