Chapter 604: Allison, unfazed, found the scene almost amusing. They looked like nothing more than a parade of clowns to her.

Rolling up her sleeves, she fixed a fierce look on Santino. "This fat guy expects you to apologize? To hell with him!" Santino shrank back, alarmed by her stance. "You... you stay away!" He ached from the earlier beating and kept his distance, content to yell empty threats from afar. "My uncle is Darrel Brennan!" Santino's obvious cowardice left the crowd speechless, his shameless bravado earning him nothing but disdainful looks. They all saw him for what he was: guilty, but too arrogant to admit it.
Melany's eyes gleamed with calculation when she heard Santino's connection to Darrel. It seemed Santino actually had sconnections. It was a lifeline to shift the momentum.
She feigned calm as she turned to Allison with a gentle tone. "Allison, maybe it's best to let this go. Why not apologize and make peace?" Melany pretended to offer advice, but her real aim was to stir up trouble between both sides. “After all, it was just a small misunderstanding. There's no need to blow things out of proportion," she said, her calm tone concealing a subtle accusation that Allison was overreacting.
Melany's act of innocence managed to distract Santino from his pain, and with his uncle on the way, he attempted to regain his composure. "Miss Johnson is right. You're really being relentless about this!" Santino put on a smug front, acting as though he held all the power. "But I'm a generous guy. If you apologize right now, I might even consider forgiving you," he said, his tone dripping with arrogance. He delivered this without the slightest trace of shame, fully confident that his uncle would step in to support him.

Not everyone could be so forgiving." Then, turning to Allison, she suggested gently, "Allison, since he's offered an olive branch, maybe it would be wise to just apologize and ease the tension." With a hint of emphasis, she added, "After all, escalating this situation could lead to consequences none of us want." Lindy, taking advantage of Melany's words, stepped forward, clearly eager to pile on. "Melany's right, we used to be family, Allison. Even if things have changed, that doesn't mean we should act like strangers." Just a short while ago, Lindy and Melany had been at each other's throats, but now they stood united against Allison, seeing a chance to get under her skin.
"This whole situation is spiraling out of control, it's really best if you m apologize to Mr. Barker and get this over with," Lindy continued, feeling empowered by her newfound allies.
