Seeing that he was unconvinced, Isla anxiously explained, "Fay used to work at Saleel Photography. She was in
charge of my photo shoot back then. Unexpectedly, she stole my necklace during the shoot and was fired by the
studio. If you don't believe me, go ask the
Chapter 454 Which One Is More Important boss of the studio!"
Zachary looked at her indifferently, saying nothing.
Isla continued, "The day | saw you at the restaurant, walking with Fay, | was taken aback. | know what kind of
person Fay is. She's just using you for your money. Don't let her trick you!"
Obviously, Zachary didn't believe a single word of Isla's.
He was confident that no one understood Lenora better than he did.
Zachary chuckled lightly. "Is this what you call helping me? Do you even know that Fay once donated all of her
assets to establish a charity foundation?"
When Isla saw that he was still protecting Lenora, her anxiety heightened. "Isn't everything she owns given to
her by you and Old Mr. Fuller? It wasn't originally hers to begin with. Donating it to gain fand to win your
trust would be a great idea, wouldn't it? Comparing a mere charity foundation with being the wife of the
Chairman of Fuller Group, which do you think is more important?"
Tamara had informed her about all the things that Fay had done.
Only then did Isla realize that Fay was not only resourceful, but her scheming mind was terrifyingly complex.
Nevertheless, it was hard to change one's perception.
In response, Zachary had no desire to argue with her any further. He issued a warning. "I am fully aware of her
nature. | don't need you to do anything under the pretense of helping me. If you dare harm her, not even your
uncle will be able to protect you!" After he finished speaking, Zachary turned around and left.
Zachary was certain that Isla was unaware of his identity during their encounter on the flight to Sloummont.
It wasn't until their recent encounter in Fairlake that the latter discovered who he was. She also learned about his
relationship with Lenora and subsequently appeared on the flight back home.
From what he knew, Isla hadn't returned to Jacaster for over a decade. Thus, the reason for her sudden return
this twas self-evident.

What role is Tamara playing in all of this? When did she meet Isla? Could Isla's attitude toward Lenora have
something to do with her?
Faced with Zachary's stubborn refusal to see reason, Isla stomped her foot in frustration.
Just you wait. One day, I'll expose Fay's true colors to you!
When she returned downstairs, Zachary was nowhere to be found in the living room. The only one present was
Harrietta, who was sitting on the couch, engrossed in playing with an interlocking puzzle. Her little legs were
swinging back and forth. With a gentle smile on her face, Isla sat down next to Harrietta. "Hattie, would you like
to watch a cartoon? Why don't | watch it with you?" she asked.
Harrietta looked up at her. "Ms. Isla, | don't enjoy watching cartoons. They're too childish for me."
Isla was rendered speechless.
"So, what do you like to do? Do you enjoy solving interlocking puzzles?"
"Mm-hmm," Harrietta responded, her head never lifting as she was completely engrossed in what he was doing.
"Come, lettake a look for you."
Isla took the interlocking puzzle from Harrietta's hand, studying it carefully, flipping it over and over, and
examining it from all angles.
This particular interlocking puzzle was somewhat difficult to crack.
Isla wanted to impress Harrietta, but despite racking her brain, she just couldn't figure out the puzzle.
""Ms. Isla, you're such a dork."
Harrietta took the interlocking puzzle from Isla's hand. Somehow, with just a flick, she managed to unlock it. One
by one, the wooden pieces fell onto her lap.
She then meticulously pieced it back together, one piece at a time.
She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt like Isla was trying to win her over.
Right then, Isla's face showed a hint of embarrassment.
During lunch, something was mentioned that sparked Harrietta's desire to go shopping in the afternoon. She
asked Zachary to accompany her, to which he agreed. Isla's gaze shifted.
After having lunch, Zachary spent
smore tin the Fuller residence He gestured toward Harrietta, then stood up and addressed Allison.
“Grandma, I'm going to take Hattie out shopping now. We'll cand visit you again in a couple of days."
"Alright, off you go." Allison nodded in approval. "Make sure you show Hattie a good time."
The moment Allison finished, Isla also rose to her feet. "I wasn't sure what Hattie would like when | was coming
over, so | didn't bring her a gift. I'go to the mall with you. I'll buy her something she likes she offered.
"Ms. Isla, | appreciate the thought, so there's no need to trouble yourself," Zachary said, giving Isla a warning
look.
Intimidated by Zachary's gaze, Isla opened her mouth but nothing cout.
Zachary subsequently took Harrietta to a large shopping mall in the city center, where a massive children's
playground was located in the basement.
Despite Harrietta's mature demeanor for her age, she was still a child after all. She had a deep fondness for
playgrounds and spent nearly an hour enjoying herself there.
After she had her fill of fun, Zachary led her to a milkshake store on the third floor of the mall. There, he ordered
a cup of milkshake for her.
The bubble tea shop in the mall was thriving, with the majority of its customers being young women. Many of
them, upon entering, would find their gazes inadvertently drifting toward Zachary.
A young lady leaned over to her companion and whispered, "Look, the guy sitting over there is really handsome."
The companion sneakily stole a glance at Zachary, noticing the young girl sitting across from him. In a low voice,
she said, "What a pity, he has a daughter already. Otherwise, | would have asked for his number!" "He is
handsand knows how to take care of children. What a wonderful man, unlike my partner, who is all talk and
no action!"
When the shop assistant called out Zachary's number, Zachary went over, picked up the milkshake, inserted the
straw, and handed it to Harrietta.
The latter wrapped her chubby little hands around the cup, earnestly sipping through the straw. After drinking
half of it, she becplayful and started to blow bubbles into the cup.

Zachary glanced at her, and she responded with a playful chuckle in.
As they passed a shop, Zachary bought Harrietta two more toys. Both were wooden assembly models. Once
completed, they represented a beautifully detailed large ship and a building with an ancient aesthetic. After
Zachary paid for the toys, he headed for the exit. "Let's go," he suggested. "Let's check out that area."
"Uncle Zachary, | need to use the restroom." Harrietta looked up at Zachary.
"I'll walk you to the restroom entrance. Can you go in by yourself?"
"Mm-hmm." Harrietta obediently nodded.
She could use the restroom by herself and didn't need anyone tagging along.
Following the signs, Zachary arrived at the entrance of the ladies’ restroom. "Go ahead," he said, "if anything
happens, just call out for me."
Suddenly, a woman's voice interjected. "Lettake Hattie inside."
Zachary glanced up, only to find that Isla had appeared by his side without him realizing.
"Ms. Isla. That's not necessary. | can go by myself."
After Harrietta finished speaking, she turned around and scampered into the restroom.
"Watch yourself."
Zachary gave a command, then turned his gaze to Isla. His brow furrowed, his eyes glistening icily. "Are you
following us?"
Isla's expression stiffened as she
met Zachary's intimidating gaze. A layer of sweat formed in her palms, causing her to grip her sleeves tight. "I
was indeed following you," she admitted. "Hattie is incredibly adorable, and I really like her. | just wanted to buy
her a gift.
As they were speaking, a young woman emerged from the bathroom, wiping her hands as she walked.
When she saw Zachary and Isla at the entrance, she stopped in her tracks, casting an inscrutable glance at
Zachary before passing by Isla and leaving.
