Chapter 1190 Something's Happened to Your Wife
"She felt every interaction between Lucy and Lennon, every ounce of their love, somehow linked back to her."
"Lucy sacrificed her fertility for Lennon, endured so much pain, and now she's filled with regret and guilt. This feeling has been
building up inside her for years, always wanting to make amends to Lucy, but now..."
Damien sighed softly. "Tonight, when she realized Lucy and Lennon were beyond repair, she broke down in tears."
Mandy gasped sharply, her teeth clenched with fierce determination. "That damn Lennon, he's such a damn mess!"
"I'm going kill him!"
"He'll get what'sing to him."
Damien sighed softly, wrapping Cherise in his arms as they walked away.
Mandy froze, unable to believe her ears.
Lennon... Wasn't Damien supposed to be his best friend?

That didn't sound like he was looking out for a friend.
Mandy scratched her head, puzzled.
Alexis's urgent and concerned voice cfrom behind her. "Ms. Mandy, Mom's rerunning a fever!"
Mandy abandoned thoughts of Cherise and Damien, rushing back to assess Lucy's condition.
Despite trying various cooling methods, her temperature continued climbing, showing no signs of relenting.
This was not good—something needed to change!
Mandy dialed for an ambulance and raced Lucy to the hospital with urgency.
"Are there any family members here for the patient?" the doctor asked after a series of intricate tests, his brow furrowing as he
glanced at Mandy.
"I'm her sister!" Mandy insisted, her voice trembling.
The doctor gave her a skeptical look. "No, you're not."
With a grave expression, he continued, "We need her family—parents, husband, anyone."
"Her condition... it's critical."
Mandy's heart raced frantically as she faced the grim reality of Lucy's worsening condition.
Her grip tightened on the doctor's hand, trembling with worry. "What's wrong with her?"
The doctor shook his head solemnly. "We need her family here."
Mandy bit her lip, frustration mounting as she realized the doctor wasn't giving her a straight answer.
Back in the hospital room, she gazed at Alexis, his innocent face framed by tousled hair, and shook her head softly.
The weight of the doctor's ominous words lingered heavily in her mind, and she couldn't fathom exposing 5-year-old Alexis to such
distressing news.
She closed her eyes briefly as she thought of Colin. His reassuring presence was a beacon of strength in moments of uncertainty.
She was determined to shield Alexis from the harsh reality approaching. She immediately ensured he was settled before hurrying
to the Gray Residence with a sense of urgent determination.
Colin was deeply intoxicated, unconscious, and lost in a haze. Feeling urgent and unrestrained, Mandy grabbed a basin of cold
water and drenched him. "Colin! Wake up! Something's happened to your wife!"

Colin was abruptly awakened from his daze and sat up with a start. His annoyance quickly turned to worry as Mandy's words sank
in: "Something's happened to your wife."
He blinked groggily, trying to focus on her. "What's happened to Lucy?"
Even though they had been married for a while, their union was more about business than love, a fact well-known to others.
Therefore, when Mandy said, "Your wife," he paused, caught off guard.
"Guess you've got a heart after all!"
Mandy found herself somewhat reassured by Colin's immediate concern for Lucy.
Taking a deep breath, she explained, "Lucy developed a high fever after drinking, so | called an ambulance. She's currently at the
hospital with Alexis."
"The doctor's prognosis... it's not good. They're requesting family toe."
Colin's demeanor shifted abruptly upon hearing the news.
He quickly got out of bed, grabbed his clothes, and hurriedly pulled Mandy with him as they ran outside.
They raced down the stairs, reaching the ground floor in under a minute.
Finally, he gently guided Mandy into the driver's seat, settled into the passenger side, and gasped for breath before urging her,
"Drive."
