Chapter 1174 The Twin
The twin brothers, Colin and Damien, were practically carbon copies of each other.
Damien was in a bit of a pickle. His stomach did a flip when Cherise started raving about how good Colin looked with Mandy.
Saying yes and agreeing they were a good couple would be like saying the sabout himself and Mandy.
No way, that was a recipe for trouble if Cherise got jealous and held it over his head. So, he blurted out, "No way, not even close!"
Cherise's excitement went poof, like a balloon losing its air. As always, Damien, the smooth operator, hopped out of the car and
coolly told Mandy, "Hop in."
After all, Mandy was a guest and Cherise's friend. Even without his say, Cherise wouldn't allow her to stay behind.
Mandy hesitated, hand hovering on the car door. She glanced back at Colin. "What about him?"
Damien shrugged. "He's got his own place."

Colin stood there, silent.
Mandy pursed her lips.
Under the dim police station lights, Colin's tall figure seemed lonely, dejected.
He'd gotten hurt for her, yet Damien was just taking her home, leaving Colin behind. Mandy knew that feeling of being left out all
too well.
She couldn't stop herself. She bit her lip, walked over, and grabbed Colin's sleeve. "Nope, you'reing with us."
Colin frowned. "My driver's gonna be here soon."
Mandy's eyes widened in realization. It suddenly struck her that Colin wasn't upset about Damien not offering him a ride. He'd just
learned about their connection and was likely grappling with how to face Damien in light of this revelation.
"No way, dude! You'reing with us!" Mandy insisted, pulling him towards the car. "Cherry's a doctor! She can properly clean and
dress your wounds. Let's go home!"
The word "home" escaped her lips unintentionally, but for Colin, it carried a profound weight. Hwith Damien? He closed his
eyes, silent for a moment, then nodded slowly. "Alright."
Even if he hated to admit it and wanted to say no, he couldn't deny the truth - he was Damien's brother.
"Let's go!" Mandy nudged him with a look, urging him to move faster.
Colin took a deep breath before finally climbing into the car. Damien gave him a long, silent stare.
They soon arrived at Damien and Cherise's place. The Gray family had hooked them up with a cute little villa for the newlyweds. It
wasn't Damien's massive Adanian mansion, but it was definitely spacious enough for Mandy and Colin to crashfortably.
Once they were "home," Cherise immediately cleaned and bandaged their wounds. Mandy was barely hurt; there was just a little
scratch on her face.
Colin, however, was a different story.

Cherise's eyes narrowed as she peeled off the makeshift bandage on Colin's forehead. The gash was nasty. Shards of glass were
still poking out! No wonder he looked like he was in agony.
But the entire ride back from the police station, Colin hadn't flinched. He even managed to bicker with Mandy the whole time.
Cherise pursed her lips. "Colin, you need to go to the hospital. You need stitches and anesthesia, or this is going to be a real
nightmare."
Removing the glass shards and disinfecting the wound would be excruciatingly painful.
Colin, however, simply offered a weak smile. "It's alright, Cherise. You can handle it."
Cherise was surprised to hear Colin address her directly by name. She looked at him worriedly. "Are you sure you don't want to go
to the hospital?"
Sensing the gravity in Cherise's voice, Mandy chimed in, "Please cut it out with the tough guy act, would you?!"
"Seriously, I'm okay," he insisted. "Don't worry about it."
Cherise bit her lip, her gaze flickering nervously to Damien, who sat silently nursing his cup of tea in the corner.
