Chapter 1160 In The Dark

His formerly exposed flat stomach, which she had mocked, was now concealed beneath snug pajamas. A chuckle escaped Mandy

involuntarily, but she restrained herself from teasing him again. Clearing her throat, she spoke, "Here's the thing. I'm Lucy's friend.

| couldn't reach her on the phone, so | took a cab here. Where is she?"

Colin pursed his lips. "She's not home."

"Oh." Mandy sidestepped Colin and entered the house, settling herself on the sofa and picking up a glass of water boldly. "Any idea

when she'll be back?"

Colin was flabbergasted. Why is this woman making herself right at home? She strolled into my hbrazenly, settledfortably

on my sofa, and even drank from my glass... Hold on! Colin stared at the glass in Mandy's hand. It was the sglass he had just

drank from...

Before Colin could stop her, Mandy had already finished the water in the glass. She smiled and extended the empty glass towards

him. "Could you pouranother glass?"

Colin was dumbfounded and taken aback by the impudent woman! He didn't understand what hade over him, but he found

himself pouring her another glass of water and handing it to her.

"Thank you." Mandy accepted the cup and took a sip. "When will Lucy be back? | can't reach Lucy or Cherise on their phones, and

Damien's phone is also off. | have no clue what they're doing." As she spoke, she glanced at the television screen in front of her.

On the television, a female ghost was chasing the main characters down a hallway, who dashed into a living room to hide. Then,

with a sudden click, the power went out in Colin's house. Startled, Mandy screamed and instinctively reached out to grab Colin,

pulling him in front of her. "Why did... the power go out..."

Colin furrowed his brow. "It's likely Alexis messing around upstairs," he remarked. He attempted to gently pry Mandy's hand off

him. "I'll go reset the circuit breaker."

"No!" Mandy clutched onto Colin's clothes, flustered. "I'm scared!"

Colin sighed in frustration. "Ma'am, if you don't let go, how can | reset the circuit breaker? We can't stay in the dark like this."

"T-Takewith you," Mandy said, biting her lip. She hesitated briefly, then stood up shakily, clutching onto his clothes. "I... I'm

afraid of the dark."

Colin paused, unsure of how to respond. Just as he was about to lose his patience, the lights flickered back on with a click,

illuminating the house.

From the railing on the second floor, Alexis's tiny figure appeared. "Sorry, | accidentally..." He cut himself off abruptly upon seeing

the scene downstairs. Colin looked unkempt, with a pretty lady clinging on to him, her hands grabbing his clothes as if she wanted

to undress him... Alexis quickly covered his eyes. "I didn't see anything! I'm going to bed!" With that, he hurriedly departed.

Colin pondered for a moment before realizing that the child had misunderstood! He looked down and glanced at the slender hands

that were gripping his shirt tightly. "You can let go now, miss."

Mandy recovered from her shock and instantly let go of him. She settled back into her seat and took a sip of water to steady

herself. After a moment, she looked up at Colin again. "When will Lucy be back?"

Colin shrugged, maintaining sdistance and sitting as far away from her as possible. "She's out having drinks with Cherise. I'm

not sure when they'll return. How about youe back tomorrow?"
