Chapter 1122 Immature
So, she chose to remain silent.
She had family, too, particularly her father, who had been her rock for many years. Their relationship was much closer than most
fathers and daughters. But her father had his own worries and struggles, and she didn't want to burden him with her troubles
either.
As such, she couldn't confide in her father, her best friend, or her friends.
Over time, she even ot what it felt like to trust someonepletely and share all her worries. Perhaps she thought she didn't
deserve to feel that way.

Colin pressed his lips together, hearing the sadness in her voice. He clenched his fists tightly. He could tell she had many worries
and wanted to say many things. But she held it all back. She chose to bear everything on her own, saying nothing.
A feeling akin to heartache washed over him.
With his eyes closed, Colin asked, "Isn't it exhausting?"
Lucy paused for a moment before smiling, "You'll get used to it. Since you and Damien are technically the sage, you should be
much older than me. Yet, you don't seem very mature... Perhaps you've been too sheltered?"
She continued, "Colin, once you experience moreplex situations, you'll understand that bearing things yourself can be a sign

"You're the first person to boast about maturity to me." Colin shrugged. "If you don't want to talk, that's fine."
Then, he turned away, but sleep eluded him.

He closed his eyes. "Damien is right; Aunt Dorothy's car accident wasn't so simple. | need to be the heir of Gray Group to
have the means to investigate the truth behind her injury..."
Moonlight streamed into the bedroom, and the woman on the bed lay still in silence.
Meanwhile, Colin's clear, gentle voice echoed in the room.
He kept talking about himself. "Aunt Dorothy toldabout my past when | cof age. | was abducted as a child. | finally found
my family, only for my parents to die in a car accident. It seems my life is destined to be filled with tragedy and hatred."
He paused before continuing, "But Aunt Dorothy wantedto live more positively... She wantedto embrace the world with
love and to believe in the inherent kindness of all. But... about the circumstances surrounding her injury, all of Damien's
speculations make sense... | really don't want to suspect my uncle..."
