Chapter 1101 Trip to Yatesville
If the man in the photo was indeed Jude, everything fell into place. After the initial shock, Cherise finally managed to regain her
"Yes," Colin replied, his brow furrowing as he contemplated for a moment before nodding quietly. "However, she passed away three
years ago. Since then, Jude hasn't been involved with anyone else. He's very devoted."
"It's been said that... before she passed away, she clasped Jude's hand and urged him not to abandon the search for love," Colin
lamented. "Jude promised her back then. But..." Colin shook his head. "There are still photographs of her in Jude's room and on his
desk, and he hasn't shown any interest in other women. My aunt and uncle are distraught..."

Cherise pursed her lips. Everything had crystallized. This individual named Jude... had been observing her and Damien for the past
four years. But what was his true agenda?
The three-hour plane journey from the small island to Yatesville, where Gray Residence was located, left Cherise feeling
confounded. She couldn'tprehend why this man, who had no connections to her four years prior, would approach and engage
with her so extensively... as her patient's family member.
Four years ago... she had been separated from Damien for a year. She couldn't even envision a future with Damien back then.
Now, Damien was asserting that he had been Jude's intended target. So, what impelled Jude to initiate contact withfour years
prior? Despite Cherise's contemplation, a satisfactory explanation remained elusive.
The most plausible conjecture centered on Jude's foresight that Cherise and Damien would rekindle their flame, motivating his
initial approach four years ago. Yet, this theory seemed somewhat stretched. Cherise, privy to the intricacies of their relationship,
lacked the certainty to support such a claim. Why, then, would an outsider like Jude make such an assumption?
The plane quickly descended into Yatesville. Damien escorted Cherise towards the exit; her steps weighed down by unspoken
tensions. Suddenly, Colin's exuberant voice pierced the air. "Jude!" His excitement reverberated, reaching Cherise's ears.
Cherise furrowed her brow, her instincts prompting a quick glance upward. A man clad in a gray shirt and white trousers at the exit
caught her attention. A light gray fisherman's hat crowned his head, and a subtle smile graced his features. He matched the
recollection etched in Cherise's memory. It was him—the man who had constantly engaged her in conversation four years ago!

"Don't fret," Damien reassured, his gaze narrowed as he held her hand firmly. "He poses no threat to either of us for now, at the
very least. We must wait until | eliminate the pests within the Gray family's business as Colin's twin brother."
Cherise pursed her lips in agreement, nodding and acknowledging Damien's reasoning. Jude's evident pursuit of Damien suggested
a fascination with his capabilities. Or perhaps... Damien and Jude's ties extended beyond mere coincidence, just as Damien had
suggested. Perhaps Jude could even be Damien's cousin.
Despite Cherise's deliberate stride, the distance to the exit dwindled. Soon, she and Damien found themselves face-to-face with
Jude.
"Mr. Jude, it's a pleasure to see you again," Damien greeted, extending a polite acknowledgment.
