Chapter 1093 The Old Damien
"How do you know that?!" Colin snapped, teeth clenched in frustration, though he quickly reigned in his emotions. "I'm not losing
my nerve; | simply find your arrogance laughable." Regaining hisposure, he continued, "You've reached this juncture, yet you
remain unfazed, believing you can dismiss my demands?"
Cherise pressed her lips together, silently intertwining her fingers with Damien's. Despite Colin's brazen words, she knew they
were powerless to challenge him. He was inplete control with Beckham and Raymond, who were under his control, and his
subordinates were all over the island.

Damien just grinned and shrugged nonchalantly. He grabbed Cherise's hand and led her to where Colin was sitting. They settled
before him, and Damien handed Cherise a steaming cup of tea.
After giving her aforting nod, Damien turned to Colin indifferently. He asked, "Who put the terrible idea in your head to
approach me?" Colin's gaze flickered for a moment, but he stayed silent. "Swapping identities? No way. Even if I'm at my wit's end,
that's not an option. And if anyone has the guts to suggest it to me, I'll destroy them."
Colin's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "Why?" His tone, now earnest and grim, starkly contrasted with his previous
arrogance, making him seempletely different. Cherise almost choked on the hot tea she had just sipped, shocked to see a
man who resembled Damien displaying such an expression.
"Because if | assyour identity, | gain considerable leverage," Damien replied, his gaze piercing. His hunch was correct. Despite
Colin's uncanny resemblance to him, Colin lacked the cunning and depth of thought required for orchestrating the current
situation. It was clear that he hadn't set this up.
"But have you considered the repercussions of such an exchange?" Damien relaxed slightly. "Since you're keen on swapping
identities, you must possess sknowledge about me," Damien continued, his tone retaining its indifference. "You're correct. I'm
backed into a corner with few options now. If you insist on this exchange, I'll acquiesce. But what happens after that?"
"I'll wield your nand act recklessly as | see fit. After all, it's not my name. When people discuss or condemn me, they won't be
referring to Damien Lenoir."

Colin fell silent, grappling with his thoughts. He had pondered this previously, but Jude's assurances had clouded his judgment.
"You wouldn't," Colin insisted. "You're rational and level-headed. You wouldn't stoop to such tactics."
Cherise's hand trembled, fighting back the urge to be amused by Colin's naive demeanor. However, Damien didn't mince words. He
chuckled, "That was the old me, the former Damien. But do you truly believe I'd maintain your reputation and live your life after
you coercedto assyour identity?"
Colin lapsed into silence, his earlier conviction wavering. He began to realize the folly of Damien replacing him. Yet... he hesitated
for a long time, eventually lifting his gaze with pursed lips. "Do you have any way to freefrom the Gray family's grasp?"
Damien narrowed his eyes slightly. "Go on."
"In truth, | shouldn't even be a part of the Gray family," Colin admitted, his lips pressed together. Facing a man who mirrored his
appearance, he found himself unable to maintain pretenses before Damien.
