Chapter 1092 Colin's Proposition
Cherise felt her breath catch in her throat as she beheld the man seated before her. It was because the man seated before her
was... a hear mirror image of Damien, save for his piercing blue eyes. Cherise would've thought Damien was sitting before her if
not for that.
If Damien was a perfect ten in appearance, this man was easily rated a nine, his features echoing Damien's with flawless precision.
The only discernible differences lay in the hue of his eyes and subtle facial nuances. But only Cherise, privy to Damien's every
detail, could detect these subtleties. This man could pass as Damien sporting blue contact lenses to any outsider.
"Who are you?" Damien's voice sliced through the tension, cold and probing, his eyes narrowing.

"I'm Jude's brother, Colin Gray," the man replied stiffly as if grappling with the language. "Jude was correct in noting our
resemblance. | see | haven'te here in vain."
Damien studied him intently, his gaze piercing, yet he held his silence.
"Do not gaze uponwith such hostility. We're not adversaries. Like Jude, |e bearing a proposition," Colin yawned, lifting his
teacup to his lips. "I offer to surrender these two individuals to you. In exchange, you'll assmy role within the Gray family. Care
for my mother and fulfill my marital obligations to the lady I've hesitated to wed."
"And as for myself..." Colin's tone dripped with arrogance as he continued, "I will oversee Lenoir Group's operations and tend to
your sister, wife, and children. Otherwise," he added with a faint smirk, "I'll see to it that everyone on this island perishes with you
today."
Damien couldn't help but chuckle at the audacity of the man's proposal, a genuine laugh escaping him. "You want to exchange
lives with me? Why? Is it because we look alike?" It was a rare sight, for Damien was not easily moved to amusement. Even
Frances and Mr. Hampson, who served him daily, had never seen him laugh. But here he was, laughing at an inappropriate
moment. He was chuckling hard as though he had heard a hilarious joke.
After he finished laughing, he fixed his eyes on Colin. "You must be dreaming."
Colin's brow furrowed, a flicker of panic dancing in his eyes. Jude's assessment rang true; Damien proved himself a formidable and
unpredictable opponent. Colin had initially felt a surge of superiority in Damien's presence. His cohorts had ensnared both the
individuals Damien sought to liberate and harbored deep disdain for. And the woman standing beside Damien happened to be the

Confident that he held the cards to force Damien's hand, Colin was taken aback by the cool indifference and biting sarcasm in
Damien's gaze. It felt as though Damien was the one threatening him.
Unnerved by Damien's unwaveringposure, Colin cleared his throat and pretended to regain hisposure. "Our resemblance
is so uncanny. With the blue contact lenses I've prepared, you could easily masquerade as me." As he reached for the steaming tea
on the table, Colin failed to notice it was one of the cups intended for Damien and Cherise. He hadn't thought much about it. He
just wanted to make himself seem more poised.
"You appear a bit flustered," Damien mercilessly pointed out Colin's oversight. pared to your brother, Jude, you seem ill-
equipped for such formidable tasks of threatening others."
Colin remained speechless, his facade faltering in the face of Damien's unwavering scrutiny.
