Chapter 386:

Fortunately, Violet didn’t fall into Willy’s arms. Before she fainted, she had been determined not to fall into his

embrace.

When she woke up, Violet found herself lying in a hospital bed, and Willy was not beside her. He had left a

thermos full of hot porridge and a small note beneath it.

“Violet, even without me, you should take good care of yourself.” What kind of person did he think she was? Did

he believe she couldn't live without him?

She opened the thermos, and the familiar aroma filled the air, causing her to cry. In the end, she couldn't finish

the porridge; she took a sip and burst into tears. Then, she threw the entire, still full, thermos into the trash can.

That was it. She thought they would never see each other again.

Later, when Violet heard that Willy had returned to the country, she didn’t want to go back. It wasn’t until Stella

was hospitalized that Violet finally felt compelled to return.

Violet had decided that if she encountered Willy again, she would treat him as a mere passerby. They would walk

past each other without acknowledgment.

He had treated her so well back then, and she had hated him just as much when they broke up. Sometimes, the

person you hate the most is not someone who ridicules or fights with you, but someone who has always loved

and protected you, only to leave you in the end.

If he knew he would get bored and abandon her, then why had he treated her so kindly at that time? Why had he

given her love and hope, only to crush them with his own hands? He had given her sunshine, but he had also

taken it away himself.

Therefore, she hated him.

Despite this, she hated herself even more for falling into that trap and being so gentle.

At that time, she hadn't forgotten him; she had once loved him deeply. When would she let him go? She had

waited for that moment for many years.

No matter how slowly hope arrived, she believed the sun would shine again after the storm.

Just like now, she could make delicious food and take good care of herself. When she felt sad or happy, the first

person she thought of was no longer him. She also had her best friend and everything she loved. Without him, it

wasn't a big deal. She was still living very well. No, it should be said that she lived a better life.

Early the next morning, Violet woke up very early. She opened the bedroom door and looked into the living room,

only to find that Carson had already left.

Although she felt a little disappointed, she was also relieved.

Violet always took her tin the morning. She casually made something to eat and then watched tpass in a

daze. It seemed she thought of something again.

Perhaps, ever since Willy left, she had been more casual than usual...

The weather outside was beautiful, so she suddenly wanted to go shopping. What was the point of being alone?

Of course, she wanted to hold hands with someone else. However, when she thought of it, she shook her head

again. Maybe he was already with someone else.

She shook her head and could only call Stella.

Stella agreed very quickly, so Violet gathered her things and left in search of happiness.

Violet didn’t want to drive that day. There was a faint dark cloud covering her heart. She couldn't express it, nor

could she let it go.

The flowers by the roadside were beautiful, but she appreciated the tender grass peeking out between them

even more. Watching them grow so vigorously, she felt they could provide her with sencouragement.

Life was hard to explain, but the journey that was originally not short felt infinitely short.

Without realizing it, Violet arrived at the door of a café.

She wanted Stella to cout and look for her. After that, Violet planned to go and get the car with her once

they arrived, so she called Stella.

After dialing the number, she was a little stunned.

Looking ahead, Violet saw her best friend sitting in the café.

In a moment of distraction, she forgot to hang up the phone. As a result, it rang, and she watched Stella pick it

up. Perhaps she was in a fluster, as she hurriedly hung up the phone and composed herself.

Stella always wanted to face her best friend in the best way and didn’t want Violet to worry.

It was evident that Stella was a little flustered. She quickly took out her phone from her bag and looked at it with

a hint of joy.

“Why is he here?” Violet's smile faded when she saw the man sitting there.

Perhaps it wasn’t about him specifically. That man was merely an innocent person who triggered her feelings

because of their emotional connection.

At the coffee table in the distance, a man sat opposite Stella, looking at her with a smile.

It was clear that Stella was a little absent-minded. Sometimes she looked at the man, but her focus was

elsewhere.

As Stella glanced around, she saw Violet walking towards her and quickly stood up.

There was a hint of anger on Violet's face.

“Why? Why is it like this again?” Violet exclaimed, feeling a wave of frustration.
