Chapter 385:
After a long time, Carson lost interest and handed the tablet to Violet, who was in a daze. “How is it? Are you
convinced? Do you admire me?”
“Hmph, what's so amazing about that? | was just asking you to do it.” Violet tried her best to adjust her jaw,
which was about to drop, and pretended to be disdainful.
“Haha, you should admit your defeat.” Carson laughed widely. “If you beg me, maybe | can share stricks for
playing this game.”
“Hmph... You don’t look like a gamer.” Violet eyed him suspiciously.
“Why not? I can tell you that when | was in high school, | often skipped classes and went to the intecafé to
play games,” Carson said proudly.
“No wonder... No wonder you look like a fool. It turns out your education is lacking,” Violet sneered.
“You...” Carson expected her to say, “No wonder you're so good at playing games.” Who knew she would insult
him right off the bat? It didn’t make sense to him. She really didn’t behave like a normal girl.
“Well, rogue, go hand sleep. After playing the gfor so long, I'm sleepy.” With that, Violet yawned as if
she were a decent person.

“Didnt you hear me? |, the rogue, won't leave today!”
Carson lay on the sofa shamelessly.
“Hey, Carson, | warn you. Stop now.”
Unfortunately, Carson continued to act like a stubborn mountain. No matter how Violet scolded him or tried to
pull him away, it was useless. There was no other way; before she could do anything, he had already fallen
asleep. She had no choice but to let him stay for the night.
Violet took a quilt from the bedroom and covered Carson with it. Then, she turned off the light in the living room,
went into the bedroom, and locked the door.

Although Carson slept soundly, she still felt it was safer to lock the door. After all, with a rogue like Carson, if she
didn’t lock the door, she might see his face first thing in the morning.
Alas, it was a terrifying thought.
After what Carson had done, Violet lay in bed but couldn't fall asleep. She tossed and turned, unable to find
comfort no matter how hard she tried.
She remembered what she had said when she saw Carson’s arm that day. She recalled that she didn’t know
anything back then. She didn’t know how many times Willy had told her before she finally got it, but now... he
was gone, and yet she couldn't forget those memories.
Humans are a strange species. They forget what they need to remember but cannot forget what they should let
go of. Living felt like a form of torture. After all, everyone had an unbearable past.
Back then, she had been as carefree as Carson and got hurt easily. Sometimes, she only noticed her injuries
when they were almost healed. She had always dealt with them crudely. Later, when Willy discovered her
injuries, he frowned and scolded her for a long time. From that moment...
She hadn't developed the habit of being careful, but he had developed the habit of taking care of her, which
made her feel delicate after his care. When they parted, she had suffered many injuries.
She remembered once...
While cooking in the kitchen, she had felt very sad about losing Willy. Additionally, the vegetables, chicken, and
fish seemed to conspire against her. In the end, not only did she fail to cook, but she also hurt her hand. She had
always been a stubborn person. At that time, she was furious at herself for not being able to do anything right
without Willy. Despite her bleeding wounds, she made a whole table full of dishes and ate them alone, which led
to her getting diarrhea and gastroenteritis.
While eating, tears fell from her eyes, and she ate frantically. It wasn’t until she could bear it no longer that she
threw the bowl and spoon away, sat on the floor, and burst into tears.

But after crying, she decided to go downstairs to the pharmacy outside the college to buy band-aids and
medicine. Even when she was alone, she had to take good care of herself.
After buying the medicine, she just cout of the pharmacy when she happened to run into Willy. She didn’t
intend to say hello but just clutched the bag full of medicine and hurried past him. Unexpectedly, he stopped her.
“Don’t force yourself if you don’t know how to use a knife.” His tone was gentle, but she felt inexplicably angry
upon hearing it.
She didn’t know if she was annoyed that he would meddle in her life after their breakup or ashamed that he saw
through her. At that moment, her expression wasn't friendly.
“It’s none of your business whether | know how to use a knife or not. Even if | cut off my fingers, it has nothing to
do with you.” She shook off his hand coldly and turned to leave.
“Violet, why are you pretending to be strong? Sometimes... you can rest your head on my shoulder with peace of
mind.”
It was a pity that Willy couldn’t voice those words out loud because he was no longer someone she could rely on.
Violet snorted, moved her feet, and left. However, after taking two steps, her stomach began to hurt, causing her
to sweat all over, and she collapsed on the road.
Willy rushed over to support her. “Are you okay?”
Violet pushed him away coldly. “Go away; it's none of your business...”
In the end, she couldn't withstand the pain and fainted on the road.
