Chapter 275
"You're the only one gutsy enough to ask for my help and still throw shade at me."
Timothy had always had a remarkable tolerance for Vince.
Two years ago, Vince had managed to tank Timothy's shared power station project.
Yet even after all this time, Vince kept dancing around the edges, testing his patience.
Timothy wasn't even angry about it.
"You've said enough," he replied coolly. "So letgive you sadvice: don't go around policing other people's
boundaries if you can't respect your own. Otherwise, one day | might not even remember whose husband you're
supposed to be."
His eyes darkened, his expression unreadable.
Vince just shrugged, waving the folder in his hand. "I've got real work to do. Not going to stick around and banter
with you. Bye!"
He stood up and strode out, not bothering to look back.
The only reason he'd cover was to get this file.
Who knew if Timothy would lose his mind and back out of helping Jessica just because Vince had found her a

Once in his car, Vince opened the folder.
Inside were files on ten women, all flagged by Timothy's data search. Each had the sdistinctive birthmark
and were all twenty-six years old. Sfiles had photos, others didn't.
Vince snapped pictures of everything and sent them to his assistant, instructing him to dig up detailed
backgrounds on each woman as soon as possible.
Once that was done, he started the engine and headed toward Jessica's place. In the past, he would never have
bothered meddling in someone else's mess. But for reasons he couldn't quite explain, this the wanted to get
involved. Partly because he wanted to see Timothy knocked down a peg. And partly—well, he actually felt bad
for Jessica.
If he didn't step in, she'd probably never get out of this marriage.
Timothy had planned to pick Jessica up himself, but Vince's interference left him feeling irritated. Seeing Vince's
smug face, Timothy decided not to step back after all.
Lighting a cigarette, he leaned against the balcony and took a long drag.
He was a man with principles, after all.
Marriage meant something sacred to him.
He'd always been loyal. Even in an age where living together before marriage was the norm, he'd never
entertained the idea of being with just any woman.
He was, in his own way, a purist.
He didn't want to share that kind of intimacy with more than one person.
Not for himself, and not for his partner.
So once he'd chosen someone, that was it—just one, for life.
He would never betray that.
Wasn't that enough to satisfy Jessica?
How many men could say they'd only ever been with one woman, their whole lives?
But thinking about relationships only made Timothy more restless. He inhaled deeply, finishing his cigarette.
He walked back into the living room, stubbed it out, and headed out the door.
When Timothy's car pulled into Jessica's apartment complex, he immediately spotted Vince's car.
His gaze hardened.
He pulled out his phone and called Vince.
Inside, Jessica was discussing something with Marquis.

Vince stepped out to take the call.
"Missalready? You couldn't even last five minutes without me?"
"Where are you?"
Timothy's voice was cold and flat.
Since they'd only just parted, it was obvious Timothy already knew where he was. Jessica's apartment address
must have leaked.
"I'm at your wife's place."
Timothy hung up without another word.
Vince took the elevator down.
When the doors slid open, there was Timothy, waiting. He really had tracked her down.
Vince stepped out, raising an eyebrow. "So, when did you figure out where she lives?"
Timothy shot him a frosty look, pressed the elevator button, and as the doors opened again, started to step
inside. But Vince caught his arm, stopping him.
