Chapter 50 Healing His Wounds Caden's POV: A chill ran through my hand.

Finished I looked at the woman before me, diligently wrapping my wound, and it felt as though the pain had faded away.

Rosaline's technique was so precise. Could she have a background in medicine? What other surprises does this woman have up her sleeve? Rosaline gently blew on the injury, her voice soft as she said, "It might sting a little, just try to hold on." The warmth from her breath brushed against my hand, causing a light, tingling sensation that was oddly soothing.

I found myself wanting to reach out and take her hand.

However, Rosaline must have thought I was frustrated by the pain, because she quickly pressed my hand down, saying, "Don't move, it'll be over in a moment." The warmth from her touch spread through me, and I murmured, "Thank you, Rosie." Rosaline looked up, her expression one of shock and disbelief as she stared at me.

"Why... are you callingthat?" she asked, pulling back slightly.

I suddenly realized that this was the first tI had ever referred to her like that.

"Have we really never crossed paths before?" I asked once more.

At that moment, something about Rosaline felt familiar remindingof a girl from the depths of my memories- Tessa.

We were so close now, her soft forehead and eyes right before me.

The comforting and familiar scent hovered just beneath my nose.

Rosaline's POV: I heard Caden calling my name, and instinctively, I froze, staring at him in confusion.

Why does he keep asking such strange questions? How could we have met before? I rubbed my temples, trying to think back, but I couldn't recall any trace of Caden in my memory.

The first tI saw him was just two weeks ago, at Eclipse Manor.

I was certain that before this, there had been no connection between us. I had never met Caden before.

93% # Finished "Alright, stop overthinking it. I still need to finish bandaging you," I replied, focusing again on tending to his wounds.

After about five minutes, I had dressed all the injuries and confirmed there was no further bleeding. Packing up the first aid kit, I said, "I've only done basic first aid. You need a thorough check-up at the hospital. Lettake you there.

Caden narrowed his eyes slightly. "Do you know how to drive?" I nodded confidently. "Not a problem.

Sliding into the driver's seat, I pressed the gas pedal with ease and steered the car toward the hospital.

Caden, seated besidein the passenger seat, suddenly broke the silence. “I didn't take harsher action against Stella. That doesn't bother you, does it?" Caught off guard, I paused for a moment before shaking my head. "Not at all. Honestly, you didn't need to step in and defendagainst her. I can handle situations like that." "Really?" Caden gavethat familiar, searching look again before asking abruptly, "Rosaline, who are you really?" I instinctively pulled back, my words caught in my throat.

Had he noticed something? When I instinctively prepared to counter Stella earlier, perhaps a trace of Alpha's aura had slipped out.

Clearing my throat quickly, I tried to sound casual.. "Don't overthink it. I've been hunting with my grandfather and the others in Frostmoore since I was little. Someone like Stella doesn't pose a real threat to me.

"Hunting? You?" Caden let out a soft chuckle, clearly skeptical.

Luckily, he didn't press the matter further, and before long, we arrived at the hospital.

The doctor performed a thorough examination on Caden, and as I'd suspected, his hand injuries weren't severe.

Tm I exhaled in relief. "I'm so glad you're alright." Caden shota deep look. "What's this? Worried about me?"

"Is it so strange to care about you? You did get hurt savingafterall, replied, though Ecouldn't help but think to myself that it hadn't been necessary.

"These injuries aren't too serious," the doctor said reassuringly. "They m should heal heal within a day or two. If you're concerned about scarring, I can prescribe a scar removal ointment." Yes, prescribe it. Give it to him," I said quickly, eager to agree.

By the twe left the hospital, the first light of dawn was breaking.

09:59 FM, Mar Chapter 50 Healing His Wounds Finished I opened the car door, slid into the driver's seat, and started the engine. "Where are we leading?" I asked.

Caden gavean indifferent glance. "To New Moon Clly." Confused, I frowned. "Aren't we going back home?" A faint smile tugged at his lips. "It's too late for that now he replied.

I couldn't help but smile. "Are you trying to keep Mrs. Holbrook from finding out about your injury? Especially since you got hurt while saving me?" Caden didn't refute my words, but the look in his eyes as he stared atgrew more intense.
