Chapter 155

Tat this point was merely a concept.

It was hard to keep track of the twhen everything around one felt stagnant. It was harder to remember that

the world still existed when you were shut out from the world.

There were moments that felt like hours as they passed only forto realize that they were mere seconds. After

all I blinked more than thrice in an hour right?

At this point, | couldn't tell for sure. | didn’t know what to believe and what not to. After the first tthat

Matthew, Zoe and Naomi had visitedin this cell that stank even worse that it di when I was first brought

here, there had been no more conversational visits.

Each one of their visits now included bringinga few slices of bread and swater and they were so

inconsistent with it that | feared heavily for my children in my womb. A few bread slices was barely enough to

satisfy me, add two growing babies to the mix and | knew that | was doomed if this didn’t cto an end soon.

The third person that was supposed to kickstart the show had been absent. | couldn't tell how long it had all

been but at this point | was truly tired of the games. | wanted it all over with.

| shifted in my position and groaned when my strained muscles protested with my movements. A single drop of

tear fell from my eyes and | shook my head in pity at myself.

| missed my family so much.

| knew that Greyson would be doing everything possible to getback but | believed them when they said it

might be truly hard for him to findthis time, but | was still hopeful.

It was after all the only thing | had left.

If I lost hope then | might as well loose my life. My eyes felt heaty and | tried to blink away the sleep. These

idiots couldn't think of a better tto carry out their fucked up plan they just had to wait till | was pregnant and

always tired to do shit.

1 sighed heavily

ut finally i let sleep take over. | was exhausted from doing nothing but worry and think of possible scenarios of

how this could turn out foreventually.

The sweet scent of cinnamon wokeup. It felt like my nose was been tickled with the scent and the pleasant

feeling that cwith it was enough to bringback to consciousness.

That scent submergedinto a memory that | thought | had lost. It was the scent of my mother and it brought

back all of the sweet memories of the little t| spent with her as a pup.

| wasn’t exactly surprised by the scent, because this was the third ta scent like that was wakingup.

Sometimes it would cwith something feathery stroking my face and other times it would just be in the air

like someone had left it

behind.

Whenever | opened my eyes though it was to find the room empty and the source of the scent, no where to be

found.

But this tthe scent cwith a presence. | could feel their eyes oneven with my

own eyes

closed and it was heated.

| flipped open my eyes at once and for a second the room spun. Once my vision cleared | noticed that there were

people in

the room with me. Matthew, Naomi and Simon's father.

| squinted at the man but that was the only emotion | was capable of showing. At this point I didn’t think that |

could be shocked by anything or anyone. It all felt like an endless gal maybe it was the dehydration or the

hunger but | knew that the blank expression on my face was here to stay.

With the way Matthew had emphasized on the third person, | hal honestly expected that | would have woken up

to a speech and a formal introduction to the almighty third party. | didn’t expect to wake up to them here

already.
