Greyson’s POV:
The last couple of hours was almost too much forto bear, with little Simon's help we were able to discover
that not only was his dad out for ssort of revenge against Freya for suppedly ruining Emilia’s life, there were
also other people, people that | trusted, people | had opened my hto, those were the speople that were
out to destroy my family.
The biggest problem, was the fact that | didn’t have all the information that | knew that | needed. There was only
so much a four years old could retain and understand.
| had no idea where Freya could be and all the search parties | had sent out in the last hour had cback with
no news of her whereabouts. The entire pack and beyond had been turned upside down but there was no yield
yet.
This plan had been in the works for the longest tnow, my biggest mistake was thinking that | only had to be
cautious of my enemies, | didn’t know that my life literally was crawling with these enemies disguised as friends

Many of our members were injured, homes were lost and | had to be present to sort it all out. Even when it was
the last thing | wanted to do, all | wanted at the moment was to tear down the entire world in search of Freya.
“Daddy?” Jessy’s voice cthrough as she entered fully into the room.
“Hey sweetie, how are you?” | said, forcing a smile onto my lips for the sake of my daughter.
“I want mommy.” She said burying her face into my chest and when she began sobbing, something in me
snapped into two, but | tried to keep it together at least for her sake.
“I'm going to bring her hbaby, that’s a promise.” | whispered to her, while | dropped small kisses on her
forehead in an attempt to comfort her.
She cried for a long tbut eventually it reduced to sniffles and soon she was fast asleep. | rocked her for a
while but eventually | moved from my position towards her room.
Once | laid her on the bed, | just sat beside her bed and watched as she slept, it was inexplainable the joy that
she and her mother had brought into my life since they cinto it. | couldn't bear to lose any one of them.
| dropped one more kiss on her head and exited her room, starting a little when | met Smith right in front of her
door.
“Why the hell are you standing here?” | whispered harshly to him moving from my position by the door and back
to my office. | could hear Smith following behindand for his sake | hoped he had sgood news.
Well, whether he did or not my mind was pretty made up and | was ready to take matters into my hands at this
point.
I didn’t bother sitting down at all, | just settled at the edge of the table and looked to Smith expectantly.
“Sorry, | followed your scent to her room, | didn’t want to wait to deliver this.”
“And? Tasked with a hope in my voice.
“Well, the last of the search parties just cin now and they've been unable to find anything.” Smith delivered
