The room is shrouded in silence. It isn't awkward but it is also not comforting, more like a bit tense.

My eyes automatically move to Alec, and my stare remains on him as the look on his face catches my attention. It's a mix between shock and horror. I hate the look on his face. What I told them couldn't be that horrific, right? I frown. "Alec?" His face is pale as he slowly turns to face me.
