Chapter 202 Marriage Certificate Theo froze momentarily, his sharp eyes flickering with emotion.

"I've always meant it." His voice was low and smooth, carrying a deep warmth that sent Sierra shivering. His gaze burned with an intensity that made her heart pound.

She quickly looked away, unable to meet his eyes. Lowering her head, she murmured, "I agree." The words reached Theo's ears, resulting in a smile spreading across his face.

Sierra had spent the entire afternoon thinking it through. Benson was still unpredictable, and there was no telling whether he would truly back off. However, more importantly, there was William. She needed to take the first step herself to break free from his control and avoid becoming a pawn in his plans.

And the most logical choice? Theo.

If she was eventually going to marry him, why not just make the decision now? "If you agree, there's no backing out," Theo warned, his voice smooth as silk. He gazed at her with an undeniable hint of amusement in his expression.

Sierra hesitated for a second before meeting his gaze. "Uncle Theo, you should think this through too. Marryingmight bring a lot of trouble your way... Will you regret it?" A shadow flickered in Theo's dark eyes, but his answer cimmediately- without hesitation. "I won't." His certainty sent a wave of warmth through her, making her face blush.

He watched her closely, suppressing the excitement in his chest. "Do you have any preferences for the wedding?" Sierra blinked, slightly caught off guard. Then, she shook her head.

"There's no need for a wedding ceremony." Theo's brows furrowed, the amusement in his eyes dimming slightly. "Why not? Do you not want people to know about our marriage, or do you think I'm not good enough?" Sierra quickly waved her hands. "Of course not! You're more than good enough..." Too good, actually.

She just wasn't entirely confident about the future. If Theo regretted marrying her one fine day, it would be easier to separate without the weight of a grand wedding tying them together.

"It's too cold in the winter. We can have a ceremony next year when it's warmer," she offered as an excuse, trying to buy them both more tto reconsider.

Theo, as smart as he was, could easily see through her thoughts.

His little one was so cute when she overthought things. Fine. He'd give her tto adjust and show her how serious he was.

"Alright, I'll do it your way." His voice carried a hint of indulgence, slow and teasing, wrapping around her like a warm embrace.

"There are still sthings I need to think over. I'll tell you once I figure it out," she added.

"You have that many conditions?" he teased, raising a brow.

"Nah," Sierra hurriedly explained. "I just think sthings should be discussed before the wedding-I don't want you to be at a disadvantage." Before she could continue, Theo suddenly pulled her into his arms. The unexpected closeness made her heart race.

His sharp jaw rested lightly against her hair, and the crisp scent of cedar and cool cologne surrounded her.

He tilted his head, leaning closer to her ear. His warm breath brushed against it, his voice low and teasing, making her ear tingle and flush with heat. "Sierra, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. Marrying you has been my greatest luck." This was not a whim as he had planned things for a long time. Now, he finally had what he wanted.

Sierra's breath hitched. Her heart pounded so hard she thought it might burst.

Outside the door, Madison peeked at the two of them hugging, her excitement making her spin in place. It was finally happening-the couple that she had shipped was together. The next day, Theo drove Sierra back home.

Grinning from ear to ear, Madison sat beside Sierra and casually asked) "Mr. Gray, Sierra when are you two going to get your marriage certificate?" Theo remained silent.

His gaze, however, immediately fell on Sierra.
